Is Counselling and Psychotherapy right for me?

Counselling and Psychotherapy helps anyone struggling with everyday issues and provides support through challenging life events. It can identify negative patterns of relating or behaviour in order to develop powerful strategies and positive patterns for the future. Counselling offers guidance to those who need it.

My goal as your counsellor is to work towards a strong therapist and client relationship, where you feel safe and heard while telling your story. I believe the key to success is to help you gain a better understanding of your feelings and experiences whether related to your past, present or future. My role is to create careful boundaries and offer empathy in a safe space with comfortable surroundings, where you feel valued.

I can teach you concepts of theory, when appropriate, to help you better understand patterns of behaviour and empower you for the future.

Every aspect of our lives takes a period of adjustment. Counselling will help you begin to recognise what is happening and naturally work against conditioned instincts. I endeavour to provide you with the skills and knowledge to do this. I will meet you with genuineness, respect and sensitivity. I aim to work with you in a way that affirms your autonomy, strengthens your individual resources and enhances your capacity to connect deeply with others.
